Biopsy

biopsieA biopsy is the removal of a tissue sample from the body for histological or microscopic examination; therefore only very small samples are usually needed. During examination of the large intestine and the stomach, a biopsy will be taken with forceps through the endoscope.
This is not painful at all.

Stomach Biopsy

A stomach biopsy involves removing a sample of the lower and upper part of the stomach as well as from the oesophagus and duodenum in some occasion if we see suspicious area. This will identify if a bacterial contamination is present. This is absolutely painless and does not require local anaesthesia.
